Don Miller, Carlton 2007

What more need one say? – except that the whole experience was a delight for me. I would work with Renovation One again any time.

For the fourth time in my life I have just experienced a major home construction and I have decided that of all the many talents a good builder needs is a sense of humour and irony.

Sean Kiley has these in spades. No matter what goes wrong, been delayed or yet again a cause of grief – and these are part and parcel of the craft of building – Sean can smile, be (or certainly appear) calm and ready to suggest the next move in a detached and philosophical way. As a good surgeon he would never be fazed by the sight of blood. He therefore also knows how to deal with people – be it client, architect, tradie or government instrumentality.

All this means he has a team of hard-working, professional young men who clearly are full of respect for him, who are happy at work, and who are quietly proud of their achievements.

All prerequisites for success. The job at 308 Canning St, Carlton Nth. was a difficult one because of the most unusual, tricky yet, beautiful design. It was executed perfectly, and on time and on cost.

What more need one say? Except that the whole experience was a delight for me. I would work with him again any time.
