Classic Californian Redefined

Working closely with the owners through the design phase, this project followed a familiar pattern of retaining the home’s captivating facade and 3 principle rooms (2 bedrooms and bathroom), eliminating the remainder and replacing with stunning extension – seamlessly assimilating old and new. However, the owners (a family of 4) deciding to remain living in the home certainly added a layer of complexity to the project! A strategic plan was put in place to ensure the main construction phase occurred in the warmer months. This reduced the risk of weather-related delays for us and made the experience far more comfortable for the owners who were without heating! No pain, no gain as they say. The end result exceeded all expectations culminating in a home custom-designed for modern family living while retaining the core character of its period origins.
