Renovation One delivered an extension to this client incorporating a more self-sufficient home in summer and winter. A polished concrete slab with feature Yea white river pebble from Hy-Tec concrete set off a dynamic modern kitchen. Hoop pine ply doors in both the laundry and feature bookcase compliment an overlay of different finishes throughout. The 250×100 cypress pine beams hovering off the external screen were strategically placed to shield the summer sun, but allow the winter sun to beam through, fulfilling the client’s vision of reading his newspaper inside on a perfect July morning.
